Professor Jim Gehling and Ross Fargher for Australian Geographic

Professor Jim Gehling, of the South Australian Museum, has spent his live in the Ediacara Hills looking for 550 million-year-old fossils.

Ross Fargher is the landholder working with professor Jim Gehling, to have this geologically rich area of the Flinders Ranges added to the World Heritage list.
